Disney is desperate to get back the Captain of Black Pearl. According to a source from the company, Johnny Depp has been offered a contract of $301 million, a spin-off series for Disney Plus along with an apology letter. Depp had been distanced by Disney even before any substantial proof had been presented in the court proceedings. Since Depp’s win, Disney has reached out a hand to make amends. It has promised to star him in ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean‘ 6 and the spin-off series. The plot will be based on the early life of the pirate Jack Sparrow.

“I know corporate sent him a gift basket with a very heartfelt letter, but I’m unsure how it was received. But what I can tell you is that the studio has already penned up a draft for a film about Jack Sparrow — so they are very hopeful that Johnny will forgive them and return as his iconic character,” were the words of the source.

Fans have welcomed this news saying it was long due for Johnny Depp. But will the actor take the deal? In the Depp-Heard trial, Johnny claimed that he was disappointed that the ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean‘ franchise was so abruptly dissolved. “I didn’t quite understand how, after that long relationship, and quite a successful relationship, certainly for Disney, that suddenly I was guilty until proven innocent,” he said in court.

Johnny has not confirmed anything and is still reviewing his decision. For now, Depp is concentrating on playing Gomez Addams in Tim Burtons ‘Addams Family‘ and Louis XV in ‘Jeanne Du Barry’.
