Wedding bells chimed for the ‘Peacemaker’ director-actress duo James Gunn and Jennifer Holland! In the presence of family and friends, James and Holland tied the knot on September 30th, 2022. The wedding took place in Aspen, Colorado. Gunn and Holland shared glimpses of their wedding ceremony on their Instagram.
James and Jennifer got engaged in February 2022. The couple met seven years ago courtesy of Smallville’s Michael Rosenbaum. In an interview, Jennifer narrated their first date. She said, “I just told him my whole life story. We spent like seven hours together and that’s it. That’s how it started.” After seven years of togetherness, the actress got married to the love of her life.

They finally said, “we do!” ‘Peacemaker’ director shared vows with his sweetheart for seven years—Jennifer Holland. On Instagram, the director shared the special moments from his wedding.
He captioned the series of photos, “I finally married the love of my life, @jenniferholland.” The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director was married to “The Office” star Jenna Fischer. The caption further read, “What an incredible, beautiful, stunning day surrounded by the most wonderful family and friends in the world.”

The bride also took to her Instagram to share the highlights from the day. Jennifer wrote, “James! Thank you for sharing your love, life and family with me. Thank you for choosing me, for elevating me, and for always making me belly laugh. Here’s to many more years to follow the first extraordinary 7.”
She further added, “@jamesgunn and I got married surrounded by the most beautiful humans, the most magical scenery, and endless love and laughter. My gratitude is bursting at the seams.”

In both of their captions, there was a special mention of a moose who interrupted the wedding. Also, the couple got a custom Funko pop on top of their wedding cake. During the pre-wedding, the couple arranged Marvel Vs DC softball games as Gunn has worked for both Marvel Studios and DC Films. The wedding also had an attendance of many stars including Zoe Saldana, John Cena, Nathan Fillion, Chris Pratt and others. James’ brother, Sean Gunn officiated the ceremony.
The Director Is Excited To Release New Season Of Peacemaker
The HBO Max original series ‘Peacemaker’ had a huge fervor after its release. The show takes place in the aftermath of ‘The Suicide Squad’. John Cena’s Christopher Smith goes off on a mission called ‘Project Butterfly’. The love of Gunn’s life plays the character of Emilia Harcourt. In February, it was official that the series will be renewed for the second season. James Gunn explained the importance of the series in his life.
He wrote, “Creating Peacemaker has been one of the true highlights of my life, both professionally and otherwise, with John Cena and the incredible creative team around me, as well as our partners at HBO Max.”
He continued, “To have something we all love so much be loved by the audience in turn has been a wonderful experience. I can’t wait for folks to see where Team Peacemaker goes in Season Two!”
