Amidst the ongoing debate surrounding the NFL’s editorial choices during game broadcasts, Jason Kelce finally put down his thoughts. In an interview for Cincinnati’s ABC affiliate, WCPO 9 Kelce said, “The attention is there because the audience wants to see it..I mean, if people didn’t want to see it, they wouldn’t be showing it. I know that.”

He also acknowledged Swift’s global stardom calling her an exceptional artist and role model for young women worldwide. Kelce said, “She’s a world star. The NFL’s consistent focus on Taylor Swift during broadcasts, sometimes at the expense of game coverage, has been fueling discussions among fans, especially football fans. This whole debate led to many big names expressing their thoughts on the matter. Taylor Swift herself made a comment on it in her Times Person of The Year interview, saying she’s not bothered by it.

Another take came from the reason Taylor is at the games, Travis Kelce. Travis previously expressed a nuanced view on the matter of the NFL showing Taylor too much during the games, on his podcast ‘NewHeights’. He appreciated the celebrity appearances but acknowledged a sense of overemphasis on their presence.

As the Chiefs gear up for the 2024 Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers, the spotlight intensifies. Now with Swift’s potential cameo becoming a focal point of anticipation, who does it intensify on? That’s a question we can all take turns answering.
