Ojani Noa

An out-of-the-book romance set against the backdrop of Miami’s sizzling scene. Jennifer Lopez and Ojani Noa‘s love story ignited during her ‘Blood and Wine’ filming days when Ojani worked as a server at Gloria Estefan’s restaurant. Give me something sweeter than that. The sparks flew pretty quickly from there and they exchanged vows in February 1997. But as Jennifer’s star soared with the release of ‘Selena’ just a month later, their relationship faced what every couple in the spotlight has to, the relentless pressures of fame. Conflicting schedules and the blinding glare of stardom took their toll, leading to a divorce in 1998. This was an early chapter in the love of pop’s iconic superstar, it had to end with a tiny shard stuck in so we get to have the 2000s bangers. And we did!

Next up on our short list is Cris Judd—the man who brought rhythm and passion into Jennifer Lopez’s life, both on and off the stage. They met while filming her ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ video in Spain. What an ironically aptly titled song. What then? The buds bloomed under the Spanish sun making their way to their wedding in September of 2001. Alas, the spotlight again cast shadows on Lopez’s marriage. The couple had conflicting priorities and that’s the first sign of the dull blue papers incoming. Despite the overflowing love and admiration Cris had for J Lo as visible in his 2013 statement on Oprah. He said, “When Jennifer walks in, I shake her hand, and we kinda look at each other — and in my head, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to marry this woman.'” And marry the woman he did, only to settle a divorce a mere nine months later.

Marc Anthony

After two failed marriages, and that too because of her stardom, we wouldn’t blame Jen if she had decided to give up. But she wouldn’t be Jennifer Lopez then, would she? The next husband of J Lo we have is Marc Anthony. He emerged as a steady anchor during a pivotal moment in the popstar’s life. Taking roots as a friendship, their connection blossomed into romance in September 2003. This was right after the earth-shattering split Jen and Ben had. Getting out of one engagement pool, Lopez decided to jump right back into another. By 2004, she and Anthony had exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony.

The star couple welcomed twins just four years after their wedding in 2008. Their shared passion for music and family built the strong foundation of their healthy marriage life. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Jennifer talked about her then-husband in an adoring light. She shared, “Even though I had sold 70 million records, there was this feeling like, I’m not good at this.” Adding, “Marc…he helped me get over it. He kept telling me, ‘You’re the only one holding yourself back from reaching your full potential as a singer. You have to let go.’” The pair stayed together for a decade before eventually parting ways in 2014.

Ben Affleck

Ah, the tale of ‘Bennifer’—a love story that captured hearts and headlines at the beginning of the century and this decade. After meeting on the set of ‘Gigli’ in 2001, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s whirlwind romance turned into the promise of forever with an engagement ring in 2002. However, the pressures of Hollywood and public scrutiny took their torturous toll. The iconic couple called everything off and parted ways in 2004. After that, Lopez moved on with her third husband and Ben found himself another Jennifer, Jennifer Garner.

Fast forward to April 2021, and J.Lo found herself single again, after calling off her engagement with Alex Rodriguez. Surprisingly, Ben Affleck and the ‘13 Going On 30’ star had also pulled the plug on their wedding which made Affleck readily available. This sparked rumors of a ‘Bennifer 2.0’ and the rumors had their salt for the old pair not only confirmed their back on romance but put a ring on it, 8.5 Carot one mind you. Our girl Jen still hadn’t had enough of the weddings as she had two beautiful wedding ceremonies with Affleck, one in the wild Vegas and a set dress while another in a custom Ralph Lauren dress
