Jordin Sparks Volunteers For The Job
One name that is making waves is Jordin Sparks, who threw her hat in the ring via an X post this Friday. In a tweet addressed to @AmericanIdol, Sparks expressed her interest in the vacant judge seat. The 2007 winner humorously said, “Oh hiiii @AmericanIdol —I hear a seat opened up at the judges table! I’m putting my name in the hat!”

Jordin Sparks made history in 2007 as she won the season six trophy as the youngest ‘American Idol’ at the age of 17. Since then, she has continued her career in music with much success.
Right after the win, Sparks dropped her debut self-titled album. The latest happening of the singer’s career is the new single ‘Call My Name; which was dropped in October last year.

Katy Perry’s unexpected departure was made official during her recent appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’. The pop star shared her plans of finally leaving the judge seat as she wanna dive back into the world of studios and big stages. Making the upcoming season her last Katy shared her plans for a music festival in Brazil.
The Pop sensation, who joined the reality show judge panel in season 16 stated, “I love Idol so much. It’s connected me with the heart of America, but I need to feel that pulse of my own beat.”
The 22nd and last season with Katy Perry premiers this Sunday at 8 p.m ET on ABC network. Will Jordin Sparks be the fresh face at the judges’ table? We’ll see who the network chooses for Katy’s shoes soon enough.
