Justin Timberlake has been in rough waters since his ex-girlfriend and superstar Britney Spears released her memoir. The singers dated each other between 1999 and 2002, and were one of the most popular Hollywood couples. However, they mutually parted ways after three years. But some dark secrets of their relationship have come out after Britney Spears released her memoir ‘The Woman in Me‘ in October.
In the book, Spears claimed that she underwent an abortion just because Timberlake did not want a child, and also accused him of infidelity. Though he has not responded to the allegations, Timberlake has since become a target of heavy criticism. Amid all this, the ‘Mirrors‘ singer has now deleted all his posts on Instagram, sparking speculation.

Why Has Justin Timberlake Deleted His Instagram Posts?
Though it may seem like a digital reset, Justin Timberlake washing out his Instagram has gotten fans to speculate his motives behind the move. The ‘SexyBack‘ singer has left his social media account with a profile photo of his eyes gazing into a mirror, rest all has been wiped out.
It is natural for fans to assume that the move has something to do with the aftermath of ex-girlfriend Britney Spears’ controversial memoir, ‘The Woman in Me’. The book released in October has already led to a barrage of criticism directed at Timberlake though he has not officially responded to it so far.
After 42-year-old Spears disclosed personal details about their past relationship, Timberlake became the bad guy in the public eye. However, Instagram cleansing may or may not have anything to do with it. Some sources had earlier claimed that Timberlake has new music in the pipeline, with plans for a significant US tour in 2024.
The digital wiping could be a strategic move to ramp up this upcoming musical venture that he is about to take up. Besides, this is not the first time that Timberlake has put his personal well-being on a pedestal at the expense of his social media presence.
In October, right after the release of Spears’ memoir, he had disabled comments on his Instagram account. It was a way of shielding himself from the negative and hurtful comments that were rife after the book’s revelations.

Why Is Britney Spears’ Memoir Controversial?
In the memoir, Spears narrated her relationship with the star as a difficult time in her life, recalling an abortion during her relationship with Timberlake. “I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” she wrote.
“But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young,” he said. She said she felt “excruciating” pain that she was forced to have at home so it does not reach the media.
“I kept crying and sobbing until it was all over,” Spears wrote. “It took hours, and I don’t remember how it ended, but I do, twenty years later, remember the pain of it, and the fear.”
She also claimed that Timberlake cheated on her with a “very popular” woman while they were together from 1999 to 2002.
Timberlake kept a low profile after the book was released. He returned in December for a performance at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas, where he sang ‘Cry Me a River’ which is rumored to be about Spears. Before he started singing the song, he gave a disclaimer to the audience, saying, “No disrespect,” as per a fan video.
Spears seemingly responded with a social media post. “Psss I never mentioned how I beat him in basketball 🏀 and he would cry,” she wrote in a lengthy Instagram caption. While she didn’t name Timberlake, she added “no disrespect 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ !!!” at the end, making it obvious.
