What Did Harrison Butker Say In His Controversial Speech?
Harrison Butker’s infamous speech attracted the wrath of hundreds of women as he made some highly misogynistic and homophobic statements. The NFL star talked about women in a condescending way, drawing examples from his own wife’s life.
In the controversial commencement speech, Butker said, “Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world. But I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.” He added that his wife’s life “truly started” when “she began living her vocation as a wife and as a mother”.
“Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia as well as a growing support for degenerate cultural values and media all stem from the pervasiveness of disorder,“ he added.
His speech received heavy backlash from fans as well as the members of his own team, including Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
