‘The Matrix‘ star Keanu Reeves and his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant, have redefined how people view power couples. It wasn’t easy at all for the pair, who faced flak from online trolls for the age gap, but that’s not all.
Both individuals kept their romance private for years, and it seems Grant has finally spoken up. She recently gushed about her beau, and it all goes back to the dinner party that started it all!

In an exclusive interview with People, Alexandra Grant addressed her relationship with the ‘John Wick‘ star, saying, “He’s always so appreciative, so he’s always cautious, I think, with feedback, and I would say the same: ‘You want to always be respectful and leave the other person to bake their cake. Just talking about my love makes me sweat.”
Grant gave this interview on Friday at the launch of her wine brand called LOVEwine. She opened up about her life with Keanu Reeves and how they complement each other ideologically as well as artistically.
“Every project has its own autonomy, its own team, its own sort of rules, and it has a beginning, middle, and end. So we both are people who do projects, and you know, I’ve lived with John Wick, I’ve lived with Neo.”

It is also interesting how Grant made a fascinating analogy between painting and acting to shed perspective on both her and Reeves’ processes.
The fact that both artists are methodical in their approach to their respective creative fields is marvelous. As they say, great minds think alike, and both Reeves and Grant are esteemed artists in their own fields.

It was in 2009 that Reeves first met Grant at a dinner party. This was followed by the pair releasing the book ‘Ode to Happiness and Shadows‘ in 2011, which happened to be their collaboration.
They kept their romance under wraps for years until 2017, when the pair launched X Artists’ Books, a catalog that featured interdisciplinary and artist-centered works.
In 2019, they made their relationship official at the Met Gala, and it did not sit well with some fans.

The move left many fans exasperated, and some even resorted to online bullying and trolling. There were internet users who blatantly targeted Grant and threw ageist rants, but Keanu Reeves came out in support of her.
While some people trolled her for her hair, wrinkles, and overall appearance, some fans poured out love for the visual artist. Over the years, Reeves has expressed his love for Grant, and on multiple occasions, he praised her for handling the entire controversy elegantly.
The pair started as friends for over a decade, and their artistic vision also aided in strengthening their relationship.
