Who Inherited Kurt Cobain’s Wealth?
After Kurt Cobain’s death, all his wealth was left behind for his daughter Frances Bean Cobain and wife Courtney Love. Courtney has kept most of the money somewhat safe for Frances, although she has her portion of the money herself. Frances has been gaining more and more control of her father’s wealth over the years, through her trust fund.
The estate, as mentioned before was a grand total of $450 million. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Cobain’s wife Love inherited both his writing and publishing rights which were estimated at a total of $130 million and $115 million respectively. But a portion of all this was put in a trust fund for Frances as well.
When Frances started getting money from her trust fund, she gained control of all her father’s publicity rights. Although Love still had control over two-thirds of the estate. Right now, it is still unclear as to how much they each have since there is no official will.
