During the pandemic, many fandoms saw reunions of their favorite actors from hit shows and film franchises. We witnessed a grand reunion of the popular sitcom “Friends” and the stars of the beloved witchcraft franchise “Harry Potter” came together. However, Directioners remained deprived of the reunion of the now-disbanded band One Direction. The band members – Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, are now making independent music.
The former band member, Liam Payne recently got embroiled in controversies. It was alleged that Liam cheated on his ex-fiancée and girlfriend Maya Henry with Aliana Mawala. And now, he joined Logan Paul for an explosive podcast where he made some shocking statements about the band, specifically Zayn Malik.
“There Are Many Reasons Why I Dislike Zayn”: Liam Payne
During a Logan Paul Podcast episode, the “Strip That Down” artist made an appearance. Liam Payne is receiving a lot of flak online for his statement that he has outsold every band member. During his appearance, Logan Paul dug up the old spat between Zayn and Jake Paul in 2020.
The YouTuber said, “I had an experience with one of your early bandmates – he was fired up.” In 2020, Jake Paul tweeted defending himself when Zayn allegedly “disrespected” him. This led to a Twitter battle, where the “Pillow Talk” artist’s ex weighed in and called Jake “ugly and irrelevant.”
Liam Takes A Dig At Gigi Hadid For Calling Zayn ‘A Respectful Man’ In The Past
Liam addressed the heated argument, “Then she tweeted something about ‘get yourself a respectful man’ or something, that one didn’t age very well.” Payne hinted at the altercation controversy between Yolanda Hadid and Zayn which led to his and Gigi’s split. Zayn allegedly became violent with Gigi’s mother Yolanda during an argument.
Later, he clarified, “I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private.”
Later in the podcast, Liam clarified why he will support Zayn despite his dislike for him. He said, “If I had had to go through what he went through this growth and whatever else, my parents are overly supportive to the point where it’s annoying at times, and Zayn had a different upbringing in that sense.”
He agreed to help Zayn through his tumultuous times even though he does not support any of his actions. Payne said, “Listen, I don’t agree with any of his actions. I can’t be on his side for that. But what I can say is that I understand, and you only hope that at some point in their life, the person on the other end of the phone wants to receive the help you’re willing to give.”
