The ‘Material Girl’ singer Madonna has been very private about her health and illnesses. It was in June that the singer was rushed to the New York City hospital after being found unresponsive. The singer was preparing for her upcoming world tour celebrating the 40 years of her music career.
Her tour has now been postponed due to her health issues and management trouble. “I realized how lucky I am to be alive,” the ‘Vogue’ singer wrote in her gratitude post. Madonna Thanks Her Children
One month after her sudden illness, the pop star took to Instagram to share her children and fans for their presence and prayers respectively. Madonna especially mentioned her children and their love which helped her recovery. “As a mother, you can really get caught up in the needs of your children and the seemingly endless giving,” she noted. “But when the chips were down, my children really showed up for me. I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference,” the pop icon added. Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon was by her mother’s side while she was admitted to the hospital.
Madonna has six children. The singer welcomed her first child, Lourdes Leon with Carlos Leon in 1996. Then came her five other children, Rocco, David, Mercy, and twins Stella and Estere. Rocco Ritchie was born to Madonna and Guy Ritchie in 2000. David was adopted by Madonna and Ritchie when he was one year old. Mercy was adopted by the pop icon in 2009 when Mercy was three. The twins, Stella and Estere were adopted by Madonna when the kids were 5 in 2017.

What Happened To Madonna?
It was Madonna’s manager who shared the news of her ill health with the world. The singer had suffered from a “serious bacterial infection”. The doctors stated that the infection was extremely serious and needed treatment from intensive care. While in the hospital, many celebrities including The Weeknd, Gwendoline Christie, and Rita Wilson reached out to Madonna, wishing her a speedy recovery.
The ‘Like A Prayer’ singer was through the final stage of her rehearsal for the upcoming tour. The Celebration tour was supposed to begin by July 15 but now has been paused due to her health issues. However, the European tour will happen as scheduled from October 14 to December 6. The tour was supposed to span over 7 months.
