Rappers Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s ongoing rap battle has been the talk of time for quite some time. Now, singer Camila Cabello has opened up about their fight, opining that it is frustrating how people take joy in feuds.
Cabello talked to the Sunday Times recently to discuss the release of her latest studio album, C, XOXO, which also has two songs with Drake. While the comment has laid a breeding ground for further escalation of the beef, netizens are seemingly not quite happy with what she said. Here’s what’s going on.
Camila Cabello Has A Solution For Drake And Lamar’s Beef
While talking to the Sunday Times about her new album C, XOXO, Camilla Cobello also talked about the rap beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. “It’s so frustrating to see people talk about someone you know in a way that is negative,” Cabello shared generally, not mentioning the rappers by name.
“You’re like, ‘Dang, if only you guys could just have dinner or something,’” she said in a lighthearted comment. The ‘Senorita’ singer is the latest star to weigh in on Drake and Lamar’s verbal match. Many including Tom Hanks, Kanye West and Snoop Dog have mentioned the beef in passing comments.
Cabello’s comment comes after her recent collaboration with Drake, which she proposed by reportedly “sliding into Drake’s DMs”.

Netizens Slam Camila Cabello For Her Comment
Although Camila Cabello meant good for the rappers, netizens are slamming her for her comments, pointing out her past comments about former bandmate Normani from ‘The Fifth Harmony‘. Some leaked messages had Camila and a friend call Normani and the other members of Fifth Harmony the N-word, drawing much backlash for the racism both from Normani and the general public.
“It took days for [Camila] to acknowledge what I was dealing with online and then years for her to take responsibility for the offensive tweets that recently resurfaced,” Normani had said to Rolling Stone at the time. Though Cabillo had apologized later, it’s a stain on her reputation that has not quite vanished.
Evidently, netizens are not quite ready to forgive her yet. Since the black cultural aspect plays a big role in the rapper’s feud, netizens feel Camila should first look at her actions from the past, and the internet is abuzz with comments.

While her comments could have meant something for the Drake-Lamar feud, it seems she has voluntarily invited trouble to herself.
