The legacy of Matthew Perry continues to touch fans even after his tragic death, and now some of the actor’s most personal belongings are heading to auction for a deeply meaningful cause.
Several items, including signed scripts and iconic memorabilia, will soon be available for fans to bid on. However, some emotional keepsakes from ‘Friends‘ final days are already drawing attention before the auction even begins.
Matthew Perry’s ‘Friends’ Memorabilia Will Be Up For Bidding

Personal items from Matthew Perry’s estate will officially go up for auction next month in partnership with his non-profit foundation. The foundation continues to work toward reducing the stigma around addiction and helping people find proper recovery support and treatment.

Fans of ‘Friends‘ will find several memorable items included in the collection. One of the biggest highlights is a set of 26 scripts from popular episodes such as “The One With Ross’s Tan,” “The One Where Joey Speaks French,” and the two-part series finale, “The Last One.”
The auction also includes two scripts signed by Perry along with his co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer. Another fan-favorite item is Perry’s replica of the famous yellow peephole frame from Monica’s apartment door.
There is also a photo album titled “The One With the Last Supper,” which contains a letter from “Jenny” placed in the back. The item is already becoming one of the most emotional pieces in the collection because of its connection to the show’s final days.
The auction will feature more than just ‘Friends‘ items. Perry’s 1995 SAG Award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a television comedy series will also be available. Fans and collectors can also bid on artwork from Perry’s personal collection, including pieces from artists such as Banksy and Mel Bochner.
The Auction Will Help Addiction Recovery Programs

The charity auction will begin on June 5, and according to a statement from Heritage Auctions, the net proceeds will help “advance Matthew’s most meaningful legacy: building a future free from addiction stigma, where every person seeking recovery has access to the care, resources, and the community they need to thrive.”

Several organizations connected to addiction recovery will benefit from the proceeds. These include the Matthew Perry Foundation Fellowship in Addiction Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, Healing Appalachia, which is a sober music festival focused on recovery, and grassroots recovery grants for other frontline organizations.
Perry openly struggled with addiction throughout much of his life and often spoke honestly about his battle with substance abuse. The beloved actor died on Oct. 28, 2023, from the effects of ketamine use. Since then, his foundation has continued supporting recovery-focused programs and spreading awareness about addiction.
Lisa Kasteler Calio, CEO of the Matthew Perry Foundation, explained why the auction is so important. “Matthew believed addiction should be met with compassion and science, not stigma and silence,” she said. “This auction fuels the foundation’s work to expand access to evidence-based care and confront stigma. It is one more way we ensure that no one has to fight this disease alone.”
The auction itself will take place online and in person in Dallas on June 5. With so many rare and personal items tied to one of television’s most loved stars, the event is already attracting a lot of attention.
