It was on March 23, 2023, that the couple shared the news about them calling off their 12-year marriage. “We have some personal news to share… It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together.” Reese Witherspoon shared the news through her Instagram signed Reese and Jim.
The actress was the one who filed for the divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. As the pair filed the official documents with the court, they have become legally single.
