“I’ve put up with a lot with that ex-wife of mine, but you took it too far, KP,” Brand said, leaving no doubt about his feelings. He briefly lightened the moment by bringing up Perry’s former partner, Orlando Bloom. Referring to Bloom, Brand joked, “Legolas! I love that guy!” and mimicked the character’s bow-and-arrow pose.
The humor did not last long, as he quickly returned to criticizing Trudeau. Brand then went on to call him “Fidel Castro’s spawn.” He made it clear that his reaction is tied directly to his views on Trudeau. He stated, “I do not like that Trudeau,” before bringing up several political decisions that he disagreed with. Lastly, he also criticized Trudeau’s public image, describing him as “ultra woke.”

“I did sleep with a 16-year-old when I was 30,” Brand said. He added that he was “a very different person” at the time and described himself as immature during that period of his life.
Brand acknowledged a broader pattern in his past behavior, stating that “consensual sex… when there is a strong power differential… involves exploitation.” He explained that his status at the time created an imbalance, saying, “I think it is exploitative.”
He further reflected on his actions, admitting, “I recognize that my sexual conduct in the past was selfish, and I did not apply enough consideration… to how that sex was affecting other people.” The issue of consent remains legally complex, as the age of consent in the U.K. is 16, though exceptions apply.
