Selena Gomez recently spilled the beans on an embarrassing incident involving her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, and ‘How I Met Your Mother‘ actor Jason Segel. Selena Gomez was the guest on the recent episode of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ when she recounted how she spotted Jason Segel at the Emmy Awards.
In her eagerness, she started waving back at him. “He looked at me and she started waving,” Gomez said before explaining that she’s a fan of Segel’s sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’. “This is kind of embarrassing. This is such a weird habit, but every night I fall asleep to the same show,” she said.
“It’ll either be ‘Friends’ or something comfy. But lately, it’s ‘How I Met Your Mother.’ So I fall asleep every night just watching the show and I’m a fan,” she added. However, the embarrassment unfolded as she slowly realized Segel wasn’t waving at her but at someone behind her.
“He felt awkward and then inclined to come over,” she said. “And then my boyfriend goes, ‘Oh, she falls asleep to you every night.’ I was like, ‘That’s weird! But I do!’” she said with a laugh.

Selena Gomez And Benny Blanco’s Relationship Has Been In The Spotlight
Gomez and Blanco’s relationship became public knowledge in December 2023, and since then, the couple has been open about their affection for each other. In a social media post at the time when they’d just started dating, Gomez praised Blanco as “the best thing that’s ever happened” to her, and asserted that he treats her “better than any human being on this planet.”
Their public displays of affection continued on Valentine’s Day, when Gomez shared a playful photo of the couple sticking their tongues out at the camera. Alongside the image, she wrote an “I Love You” with a white heart to express her love for her beau.
Sources close to the couple have reportedly said that Selena and Benny’s feelings for each other are genuine and that the two really care about each other. So other than the social media show-off, the couple also has a green flag from their close friends.
