Shakira Denies Having Any Jam Jar Involved In Her Discovery Of Her Husband’s Infidelity
In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, 47-year-old Shakira was enquired about the widespread speculation that Piqué’s alleged infidelity was exposed by a jar of jam. But the singer thrashed the rumor with a simple “Not true.”
The Colombian superstar and Piqué ended their 11-year relationship in June 2022 after the player allegedly cheated on her. The couple shares two sons, Milan and Sasha. Fans had gotten an idea about some trouble in paradise before their separation, as Shakira released the song and music video for ‘Te Felicito‘ with Rauw Alejandro. The song prompted that she knew about Piqué’s alleged involvement with another woman.
Reports suggested that there is a scene in the music video where the singer is seen looking in her fridge, and that is where she finds the truth about her husband’s infidelity. She was later questioned about this in an interview on the U.K. television show ‘This Morning’, where she reportedly mentioned finding the head of Rauw Alejandro in the fridge “to find the truth.”

Why Is A Jam Jar Linked To Shakira’s Husband And His Infidelity?
Another interview with the Spanish TV show ‘Socialite’ suggested that Shakira learned about Piqué’s alleged infidelity after noticing some of her jam missing after she came back from a trip. The jam flavor was preferred by neither Piqué nor their children and was therefore consumed by a third person who had been in the house in her absence.
Though it was not confirmed by Shakira so far, social media was rife with these jam theories. She however asserted in her recent interview with The Sunday Times that she was unaware of the referenced incidents.
In the same interview, she also opened up about prioritizing love over her career. “For a long time I put my career on hold, to be next to Gerard, so he could play football,” she told The Sunday Times. “There was a lot of sacrifice for love,” she added.
