Sharon Stone On Her Breast Cancer Battle
Actress Sharon Stone has made a name for herself in Hollywood. However, she hasn’t had a very easy life. The ‘Casino‘ actress was diagnosed with breast cancer in the early 2000s.
On Thursday, Stone got the Courage Award during the An Unforgettable Evening fundraiser event by the Women’s Cancer Research Fund (WCRF). She used the moment to talk about her breast cancer. “Those mammograms are not fun,” she said.
She continued while tearing up, “And for someone like me who was told that I had breast cancer because I had a tumor that was larger than my breast and they were sure that I couldn’t possibly have a tumor without it being cancer, it wasn’t.”
Stone then asked the doctors to remove her breasts to eliminate the tumor. In her speech, she encouraged people to get a mammogram, blood tests, and surgery, stating that she underwent all of those and people still haven’t noticed.

Stone Lost Her Sons Custody Because Of ‘Basic Instinct’
One of the most popular roles of Stone’s career has to be in ‘Basic Instinct‘. However, the film and an infamous leg-crossing scene generated a lot of controversy because of their sexual nature.
She recently revealed that the latter was used against her during her adopted son’s custody. “When the judge asked my child — my tiny little boy, ‘Do you know your mother makes sex movies?’ Like, this kind of abuse by the system — that I was considered what kind of parent I was because I made that movie,” she said.
As a result, Stone ended up losing custody of her son. It was granted to Phil Bronstein while she retained visiting rights. She said that the entire episode took a toll on her well-being.
