The strike is due to unjust wages and heavy working hours since the OTT bloom during the pandemic. Many actors have been making headlines for their support of the movement, but Kim Kardashian is caught in the whirlwind of criticism due to her attitude toward the writer’s strike.
Kim Kardashian is making another leap by foraying into a feature-length acting project. She will be seen in Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s small-screen horror franchise, ‘American Horror Story.’ During the shooting of the series, the SKIMS owner was seen at the protest site. But she was seen walking past through the fence, irking the internet with her insensitive behavior.

While shooting for ‘American Horror Story,’ Kim Kardashian was spotted in Manhattan on May 31, 2023. While arriving on the sets, Kim crossed the picket line of the members of the Writers Guild of America. Warren Leight, the former showrunner of ‘Law & Order: SVU,’ has tweeted about the incident.
Once again: working actors are required to cross our lines until their contract is up on June 30. It's not scabbing. Many agonize over that, march with us on other days, send statements of support. She has more leverage than others in her position. She didn't use it.

Warren Leight wrote, “Sad to report that Kim Kardashian crossed our midtown picket line today. She ushered past us into a freight elevator in her chauffeured Escalade. Writers aren’t keeping up, but Kim Krossed Our Line.”
The strikers’ captain talked to The Daily Beast about the unfortunate incident. He told the outlet, “American Horror Story was shooting in midtown.” The billionaire was spotted many times shooting the show despite the writers being on strike.
She was recently spotted doing scenes with her co-star, Emma Roberts. Warren narrated what happened, saying, “We set up a line, and she was driven past it into a waiting freight elevator. “The building security guard put on a bulletproof vest, which seemed over the top.”

Warren Leight added that Kim Kardashian “absolutely did not acknowledge the pickets.” He continued, “And we understand working actors are required to cross our lines until their contract is up at the end of June. Many of them agonize over that or send support in other ways.”
Leight added, “She’s obviously in a position where she could either opt out of her episode, or tell the producers she’s not comfortable crossing a line. She chose to cross. That’s now part of her public image.” The netizens are reacting to the incident on Twitter.
