Joachim Rønning’s Tron is all set for a threequel, with the first film being released in 1982 and the sequel of the film being released in 2010. And now after 14 years, Joachim Rønning revealed the third film which will be released in 2025.
Eventually, ‘Tron’ became a cult film that was known for its intrinsic visual effects and technology used since the first film. And now fans are excited to witness the third installment of the series.

Jared Leto Dropped An Exciting Update About Tron: Ares
‘The Suicide Squad’ star dropped the first look of his upcoming film, which will serve as the threequel for the franchise. The poster of the first look features Leto as a “highly sophisticated artificial intelligence program that journeys from the digital world into the real world, with the film title Tron:Ares.”
Even though ‘Tron: Ares’ has been in the works for a while now, the plans for a third Tron movie were announced shortly after ‘Tron: Legacy’ hit theaters in 2010.

Is Garth Davis Also A Part Of The Project?
Garth Davis was reeled in to direct a new story focusing on Leto’s new character in Tron: Ares. But later, Davis dropped out and was replaced by Joachim Rønning, the director of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’.
Now ‘Tron: Ares’ has finally been signaled a green light, with production beginning in Vancouver. Joining Jared Leto, the cast includes Greta Lee, Arturo Castro, Evan Peters, Cameron Monaghan, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Gillian Anderson.
During the press release, Joachim Rønning said, “I’m excited to be part of the Tron franchise and bring this new film to fans around the world. Tron: Ares builds upon the legacy of cutting-edge design, technology and storytelling. Now more than ever, it feels like the right time to return to the Grid.”
