‘Suits‘ is one of the very few TV shows that saw a huge resurgence much after it concluded. Since the legal drama hit streaming platforms, there has been an unprecedented surge in its viewership. With the sudden and unexpected success of the show, the creators decided to introduce a sequel for its fans. With ‘Suits: LA‘ already in the works, there seems to be more in store for ‘Suits‘ fans.
The show’s star Patrick J. Adams has hinted that ‘Suits‘ might be making its way to the big screen. Adams was with his co-stars at the ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas, on Sunday when he sparked hopes for the film. Here’s what he said.

Patrick J. Adams Says A ‘Suits’ Film Is Quite Possible
Patrick J. Adams, popular as Mike Ross from ‘Suits‘, was at the commemoration event celebrating five years since the legal drama’s series finale. Accompanied by his co-stars Sarah Rafferty, Dulé Hill, Abigail Spencer, and Amanda Schull, Adams teased a possible film based on the legal drama.
During the event, an audience asked Adams about a potential ‘Suits‘ movie, noting that other shows from the USA Network have transitioned into film projects. Adams responded optimistically. “Yes, and I say that being a person who has no power or authority, but obviously there’s a ‘Suits: L.A.’ show that is being made that is the focus of [Suits creator] Aaron [Korsh]. I think he would agree,” he said.
“But it’s definitely something he’s interested in doing, in trying to get the band back together. However, he cautioned that many factors would need to align for a movie to happen. “But is it possible? I think it is possible,” Adams explained.

‘Suits’ Saw A Rare Resurgence In 2023
Along with Patrick J Adams, ‘Suits‘ starred Meghan Markle and Gabriel Macht. The show followed the story of Mike Ross played by Adams, who was not a legally qualified lawyer but got into a prestigious law firm in New York City because of his photographic memory and brilliance. He works alongside some of the top lawyers, including Harvey Specter played by Macht, Jessica Pearson played by Gina Torres, and Louis Litt played by Rick Hoffman.
The show also had Sarah Rafferty as Harvey’s assistant Donna Paulson and Meghan Markle as paralegal Rachel Zane. Though the show ended years ago, a resurgence in its popularity after its Netflix debut in June 2023 put it back on the trending list.
In July, the show set a new record as the most-viewed acquired streaming title, four years after its finale. It recorded 3 billion viewing minutes across Peacock and Netflix for the week of June 26 to July 2.
In February 2024, NBC announced plans for a spin-off series titled ‘Suits: L.A.’, set in the same universe as the original drama, but with a fresh cast.
