Rapper T.I. punched Andrew Taggart of ‘The Chainsmokers‘ in the face, during a party. The punch was a reaction to Andrew kissing the rapper on the cheek while getting a picture with him. As the news of the punch surfaced on the Internet, netizens couldn’t stop deciphering why T.I. could have punched a common gesture of meet and greet. While some argued that he is homophobic, others pointed out that the kiss was non-consensual and Andrew invaded his privacy.
Twitter ended up in a big debate. Most of them pointed out the rapper’s hypocrisy on the issue of ‘consent’ since he has been in the negative light for getting his underaged daughter’s hymen inspected. Rapper T.I. And Wife Tiny Accused Of Several Sexual Allegations
T.I., whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., husband of Tameka “Tiny” Harris, have been accused of several sexual assault allegations. The latest accusations came last year from three women. One of the claims made by the woman detailed that T.I. drugged her and then raped her. Another woman also claimed that she was drugged and raped by T.I. and one of his male friends. Both of the women alleged that this incident happened in 2010. The third accuser alleged that she was sex trafficked in Nevada, California and Florida by the couple, T.I. and Tiny.
Attorney Tyrone Blackburn, along with the recent three accusers, also represented the previous 11 accusers. The 11 people alleged “forced drugging, kidnapping, rape, and intimidation in at least two states, including California and Georgia” against the Harrises, and members of their inner circle.

Amidst the myriad sexual allegations that the couple has faced, another horrendous information was added to the list. The US rapper revealed that every year, he accompanies his daughter to the gynecologist for the inspection of her hymen, which is a disguise for a ‘virginity check.’ This practice has been condemned by the World Health Organisation, which tagged it as “humiliating and traumatic“.
On the Ladies Like Us podcast, when asked about sex education for his children, the rapper replied, “Not only have we had the conversation, we have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen. Yes, I go with her … I will say, as of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact.” T.I. later defended his decision to protect his daughter’s virginity over his son’s. On Jada Pinkett Smith’s talk show Red Table Talk, the rapper explained, “If my son goes out and gets a girl pregnant, how is the household changed for those nine months? The household does not necessarily change for those nine months. Whereas if my daughter comes home [pregnant], my household is changed almost immediately. The stakes are higher.” T.I. wants to protect his daughter from bad men and adulthood responsibilities.
His daughter, Deyjah Harris, found out about her father’s comments about her hymen through social media. In a recent episode of the reality TV show ‘T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle,’ Deyjah confessed that the whole hymen situation made her feel “very shocked, hurt, angry [and] embarrassed” by her dad’s interview. She also said, “This situation is just a little traumatizing for me.”
