Professor X is an X-Man who possesses telepathic powers and is the founder of the group. He advocates for tolerance between mutants and humans and also believes that humans can change for the better. All in all, he is a very serious and straightforward character.
Esposito is no stranger to serious characters. With his immaculate portrayal of the always intimidating Gus Fring in ‘Breaking Bad’, playing X would be a piece of cake for him. So it makes sense why fans might think he would be excellent in the role.

Giancarlo Esposito has been great at portraying interesting villains in the past. His capability of portraying a character who looks harmless but is very dangerous is well known, this making him suitable for the role of Magneto as well.
So, it’s pretty clear why the fans want to see him in the MCU. People appreciate the actor’s ability to bring in the charm and complexity of his roles. Moreover, he also has the charismatic look to portray the calm collected Professor X as well as the ability to capture Magneto’s fury.
