In the fourth episode of HBO’s ‘The Last of Us‘, Melanie Lynskey appears as Kathleen. She is a ruthless warlord in a post-apocalyptic land who leads a group of people and mercenaries.

Her performance was lauded by critics. However, there were some who did not like her casting. Model Adrianne Curry questioned Lynskey’s casting and tried to body shame her.

In a now-deleted post, the ‘America’s Next Top Model‘ winner wrote, “Her body says life of luxury … not post apocalyptic warlord. where is linda hamilton when you need her?

Curry was referring to Hamilton, who portrayed a chiseled Sarah Connor in ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day‘ while bashing Lynskey’s body type.

Taking to Twitter, Lynskey shared a screenshot of Curry’s post and responded with wit. A picture of her was attached to her responsive tweet. “Firstly- this is a photo from my cover shoot for InStyle magazine, not a still from HBO’s The Last Of Us,” she wrote.

She further added, “And I’m playing a person who meticulously planned & executed an overthrow of FEDRA. I am supposed to be SMART, ma’am. I don’t need to be muscly. That’s what henchmen are for.”

Curry later tried to defend her tweet stating that she was criticizing the character and not the actress herself. She said that it’s “mindblowing” how actors “take character criticism as personal attacks.”
