The fifth and final season of Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things‘ is arguably one of the most awaited seasons in the history of sci-fi shows. While fans are highly excited, the wait is still long with the fifth season scheduled for a release in 2025. Amidst the wait, Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays Vecna in the series, is giving fans some insights about the show’s final season.
Other than his acting, Bower also recently founded the metal band ‘Bloodmagic‘, and he works as the footman in it. In a recent interview for the latest issue of Metal Hammer, Bower also opened up about forming the band along with the upcoming season 5 oif ‘Stranger Things‘. Here’s all he said.
Jamie Campbell Bower Opens Up About Season 5 Of ‘Stranger Things‘
The wait for the fifth and final season of ‘Stranger Things’ is getting unbearable — more so after Shawn Levy of ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ fame has joined as producer along with the Duffer brothers. There’s no doubt that season 5 will be a blast. While the cast and crew of the show have been giving insights into the upcoming season in buts and pieces, Jamie Campbell Bower also recently chimed in.
“It looks amazing! I obviously can’t say too much, but if people thought last season was big and wild, just wait,” Bower told Metal Hammer. “This season is gnarly – we’ve got some amazing creative people on board and it’s good fun, even if it’s hard work,” Bower added.
“It’s interesting coming back to a character that I’ve played before, but with development. The only other time I’ve been able to do that was with ‘Twilight’, and I was young and dumb playing a grumpy old vampire ha ha,” Bower said referring to his character Caius Volturi from the movie franchise.
“With this there’s still a human to consider so it’s really interesting to go through development with that character,” he said.

Jamie Campbell Bower Says He Listens To Music To Get Into His Dark Character In ‘Stranger Things’
Playing a character as dark as Vecna has been a huge challenge for Jamie Campbell Bower. In a previous interview, he had revealed that listening to ‘Darkthrone’ and ‘Mayhem’ helped him get into his character as Vecna. He was therefore asked what songs he is listening to for season 5.
“I listened to a lot of Frayle yesterday to get back into character. I’ve fallen in love with them,” Bower revealed. “It’s interesting, because last season I was consuming a lot of dark black metal stuff, Revenge and more spacey stuff like Sunn O.”
Bower continued to say that this time he found himself “edging towards folk music, so I was like ‘I wonder if there’s a world where these things combine’ and that’s how I discovered Darkher.”
Season 5 of the Netflix series will likely see a more darker and malicious version of Vecna.
