    1) Family of Chadwick Boseman 

    The death of American actor Chadwick Boseman was announced in this tweet. In 2016, Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer, and he died in 2020 due to complications.

    After his death, his condition became public knowledge. The tweet is the most liked tweet in the history of the social media behemoth Twitter, with millions of followers and users liking it within 24 hours of its posting.

    As of May 2022, it has 7.2 million Twitter likes.

    2)Elon Musk

    According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index and the Forbes real-time billionaires list, Musk is the wealthiest person on the planet. He recently bought Twitter for a whopping $43 billion dollar.

    After this, he tweeted jokingly that he would next purchase beverage giant Coca-Cola. This tweet went viral garnering as many as 3 million likes in just 24 hours.

    As of now, the tweet has around 4.8 million likes.

    3)Barack Obama

    Former US President Barack Obama tweeted this in response to the 2017 Charlottesville tragedy, referencing a passage from Nelson Mandela’s autobiography. Former White House photographer Pete Souza took the shot in the tweet below in 2011, when Obama visited a childcare center in Bethesda, Maryland.

    At the time of the announcement, the tweet had over 3.3 million likes, surpassing Ariana Grande’s Manchester post from 2017. 

    As of May 2022, the tweet had earned over 4.1 million likes.

    4) Joe Biden

    On the day of his inauguration as the 46th president of the United States, President-elect Joe Biden took to Twitter. With more than 4 million likes, this tweet was the most liked tweet of 2021.

     5)Barack Obama

    Former US President Barack Obama paid respect to Kobe Bryant, an American basketball player, on Twitter after it was revealed that he and his daughter had perished in a helicopter crash. It was the second most-liked tweet of 2020, according to Twitter’s year-end assessment, with 3.8 million likes as of May 2022.

    6) Andy Milonakis 

    In the middle of the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic and demonstrations in the United States following the murder of George Floyd, Andy Milonakis, a well-known American comedian, wrote this tweet in reaction to SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Demo-2 in 2020. According to Twitter’s year-end assessment, it was the third most-liked tweet of 2020.

    This tweet sits comfortably at sixth position with 3.5 million likes as of May 2022.

    7)Elon Musk

    Being twice on the Top 10 list, Elon Musk’s tweets always receive huge engagement. This particular tweet came after the announcement of Musk purchasing Twitter.

    As of May 2022, the tweet had earned over 3.3 million likes.

    8) Jungkook

    Jungkook, a member of the Korean boy band BTS, shared a photo with his newly colored blond hair that received over 1 million likes in less than an hour. According to Twitter’s year-end assessment, it was the second most-liked tweet of 2021. The tweet has more than 3.2 million likes as of May 2022.

    9) Macaulay Culkin

    ‘After celebrating his 40th birthday, American actor Macaulay Culkin, best known for playing young Kevin McAllister in the Home Alone and Home Alone 2 films, tweeted this.

    The tweet was meant to be a joke, but it drew hundreds of reactions. Moreover, 3 million users liked the message, making it the fourth most popular tweet of 2020. 

    As of May 2022, the tweet has over 3.1 million likes.

    10) Jungkook

    BTS member Jungkook sported a purple sweatshirt and a black beanie with the words “ARMY I miss you.” The photo uploaded by him on April 11, 2021, has received over 3.1 million likes to date.
