A series of events led to Kanye West’s account getting kicked out of the social media platform. West first sparked dismay after appearing in a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt at the Paris Fashion Week. However, matters became worse as he started to continue his antisemitic rant online and in interviews.

His Twitter post with the swastika on it is what finally led to Kanye West being banned. His final post was on December 1, a day before than ban. Instagram also had Kanye locked out of the app for 24 hours in March as he used a racial slur against Noah Trevor. These rants by Kanye led to many brands including Adidas, Gap and Balenciaga cutting ties with him.
