You can expect no bland interview when it is with Robert Downey Jr., and the folks at W Magazine had just that chance to witness firsthand the mischief genius of the man. He spawned this legendary meme while giving an interview about his 2023 charts-crashing movie, ‘Oppenheimer’.

Robert might be a “genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist” but a singer? Yet he proved his musical prowess by reciting ‘Blank Space’ in the form of a mix between rap and beat poetry, all complete with background sound effects.

He starts with, “Nice to meet you where you’ve been” in a pure stoic voice almost as if reciting some sonnet by Shakespeare. As if this whole situation wasn’t baffling enough Robert goes with “Ayyy” after the lyric “Love’s a game, wanna play?” (justifying it as a sound about TV test pattern noise). He finishes his rendition by throwing the script flying at the camera as he says, “Ain’t it funny rumors fly.” Suffice it to say we all were taken aback, quite pleasantly so.

To Robert Downey Jr.’s sense of humor and talent to transform ‘Blank Space’, one X (formerly Twitter) user reacted, “Things I didn’t know I needed, Robert Downey Jr reading the lyrics to Blank Space by Taylor Swift as slam poetry. I’m screaming laughing.”

Many other fans speculated about MCU collaborations. Leaving the element of humor, the comments may not be that off the mark, as rumors are flying about how Taylor Swift might have a few cameos in the upcoming ‘Deadpool 3′ movie.
