Sydney Sweeney is defending ‘Euphoria’ creator Sam Levinson in the court of public opinion. Sweeney, who plays Cassie Howard on the show, is protective of Levinson. In a recent interview for Variety, she spoke of seeing no merits in these accusations and standing by his friend and mentor.
She told the outlet, “You have me, you have [Zendaya], you have all of these very strongminded, independent women. If we didn’t feel comfortable with something, or we saw something we didn’t like, we’d all speak up,”
The ‘Reality’ actress added, “It’s hard to see someone completely trashed by the public and the media when no one’s actually there. We are there, and clearly we’re still working on the show, and we’re still supportive.”

Sydney Sweeney also spoke about her upcoming role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The 25-year-old actress will be seen in ‘Madame Web’ with Dakota Johnson, Isabela Merced, Emma Roberts, and Celeste O’Connor. She plays Julia Carpenter, who in the comics eventually becomes Spider-Woman.
Despite the diminishing returns on superhero movies, Sydney Sweeney is confident the film will make an impact. She’s highly optimistic about the film’s success, saying the film is going to be “different from what people expect a superhero movie to be.” She will also star in the ‘Barberella’ reboot, ‘Immaculate.’
