The Wild Side Of Patrizia Gucci And Maurizio Gucci’s Marriage
Patrizia met Maurizio Gucci and the two got married on 28 October 1972. Their marriage was not supported by Maurizio’s father as he believed her to be “a social climber who had nothing in mind but money.” After their marriage, the two moved to New York and had two daughters – Alessandra and Allegra Gucci.
However, Patrizia and Maurizio’s marriage came to an end when he left for Italy and never came back. He then started dating his childhood friend Paola Franchi. This was when Patrizia decided to hire a hitman and kill her ex-husband. As a result, she was sentenced to 29 years in prison.

Where Is Patrizia Gucci Now?
Due to an appeal relating to her brain tumor, Patrizia’s sentence was reduced to 26 years. However, she came out of prison on October 2016, after serving 18 years, due to credit for good behavior. Her story was the inspiration for the book ‘The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamor and Greed.‘ Following this book, the film ‘House of Gucci‘ was released in 2021, directed by Ridley Scott. Lady Gaga played Patrizia in the movie.
After Patrizia came out of prison, she revealed in an interview with The Guardian that she was employed at Bozart in Milan, as part of her parole program.
