She praised the director’s commitment initially when she announced her involvement in the project. Wilde also commends her acting every chance she gets yet Pugh deliberately leaves the name of the director once the controversies got bigger.

Olivia Wilde Allegedly Supported Shia LaBeouf Over Pugh In A Dispute

LaBeouf told the story from his point of view to Variety and exposed Wilde. He has already noted that he needed a lot of time for practice and Pugh was not ready to practice alongside him. So, he notified Wilde that he wanted to step down from the film because his pair was not cooperative.
He shared a video that was sent to him by the director in which she says, “This is a bit of a wake-up call for Miss Flo” while suggesting Florence Pugh was the one who needed to really commit to make the situation work.
