Taylor Swift Used To Starve Herself
After her blockbuster documentary ‘Miss Americana’ premiered at Sundance, Taylor Swift opened up about her eating disorder for the first time. After the documentary came out, there were a lot of criticizing comments regarding her body. “She’s too skinny. It bothers me,” remarked people. These constant negative gazes and objectification did not escape Tay-Tay’s notice. She talked about how her fame and being a celebrity affect her body.
Swift admitted that she was influenced by the whole social media influence phase of praise and approval. “A picture of me where I feel like I looked like my tummy was too big, or… someone said that I looked pregnant, and that’ll just trigger me to just starve a little bit — just stop eating. I didn’t know if I was going to feel comfortable with talking about body image and talking about the stuff I’ve gone through in terms of how unhealthy that’s been for me. My relationship with food and all that over the years,” admitted Swift.

She said that she feels comfortable opening up about her eating disorder now which she never thought she could.
Taylor has admitted that she is completely at peace with her body. She says that she is “actually really happy” with herself. “I pick and choose now, for the most part, what I care deeply about. And I think that’s made a huge difference,” said Taylor.
