As June 16 comes closer the wait of ‘House Of The Dragon’ fans will finally be over. Season 2 drops on 16 June which will further tell the story of the Targaryen family. Based on George R.R. Martin’s books, the series is the prequel to ‘Game Of Thrones’. The second season will focus on the Dance Of The Dragons – the famous war of dragons between Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Queen Alicent Hightower for the rightful heir to the Iron Throne.
Fans are super hyped about the upcoming second season. But they are more excited to see Lord Cregan Stark. Cregan Stark’s introduction was already made at the end of season one. He was the Lord of Winterfell at that time.
All About Cregan Stark
At the end of season one Rhaenyra Targaryen had sent her son Jacaerys to the north for support from Winterfell. And that is where we meet Cregan Stark – the then-Lord of Winterfell. According to the books, Cregan Stark was also known as the Wolf of the North and as the Old Man of the North.
Cregan Stark would remain as the Lord of Winterfell and Head of House Stark till the rule of Daeron I Targaryen. He would also serve as the Hand of the King to Aegon III after the civil war ended. In the books, Jacaerys and Cregan would become good friends and even swear brotherhood. Cregan Stark would pledge his allegiance to the Blacks in the Civil War.

Who Will Be Playing Cregan Stark In The Series?
The face of Cregan Stark, the then Lord of Winterfell will be none other than Tom Taylor. ‘The Dark Tower’ actor was seen briefly in the trailer released by HBO as Cregan Stark. In the books, he has a very important role and if the series follows the books then we might see an older Cregan as well.
Right now in season 2 of ‘House Of the Dragon‘, Tom Taylor will be playing a younger version of the character. You might recognize Taylor from his role as Jake Chambers in ‘The Dark Tower’. He is also credited for his role in ‘Doctor Foster’ as Tom Foster.
