A Timeline of Sandra Bullock’s Relationship With Jesse James
Sandra first met Jesse in 2003, fell in love, and got married in 2005. During the first few years of marriage, they couldn’t seem to get enough of each other and Bullock made it a point to show gratitude towards her husband in her acceptance speeches as she was awarded for her spectacular performances. Upon getting married, Sandra also accepted Jesse’s three children from his previous relationship and loved them as her own. In 2009, the pair even got full custody of Jesse’s daughter Sunny after a long legal battle. Everything between this Hollywood couple was as good as it could get.
However, this whirlwind romance came crashing down when In Touch Weekly reported that Jesse James was allegedly cheating on Sandra with Michelle “Bombshell’ McGee who was a model and claimed that she had an eleven-month-long affair with Jesse. Soon after this, more reports flowed in about Jesse’s affairs with multiple other women. Jesse then issued a public apology to his then-wife Sandra and his three children. However, Sandra decided to get a divorce which she filed in April 2010 and was finalized in June 2020.

Why Did Jesse James Cheat On Sandra Bullock?
Soon after the revelation of Jesse’s infidelity to America’s Sweetheart, he faced the wrath of fans and media alike. Jesse released a memoir in 2017 where he talked about his troubled childhood and his relationship with Sandra Bullock. In an interview with the Daily Beast, he revealed the reasons that compelled him to cheat on her: “I think it was several factors: ego, loneliness, distrust, which probably led to resentment. When you have a certain amount of shame and guilt in your life that spurs from other stuff, you can manufacture resentment in any situation; because I’m not getting the attention I need or the love that I need when all I had to do was ask for it and she would give it to me. But just because I didn’t get it when I didn’t ask for it, I was like, ‘Oh, she doesn’t love me.’”
Sandra talked about her divorce from James in an interview with CBS where she said she had been worried about how the cheating scandal and her subsequent split would affect her son, Louis. She went on to say, “I mean, so much had happened. “How do you process grief and not hurt your child in the process? It’s a newborn. They take on everything that you’re feeling. So, my obligation was to him and not tainting the first year of his life with my grief.” Fortunately, Sandra found her perfect match in photographer Bryan Randall and she also adopted a second child in 2015 named Laila.
