Ryan Seacrest and co-host Kelly Ripa announced his departure less than 24 hours ago. The show has enlisted Mark Consuelos, Kelly Ripa’s real-life spouse, to replace Seacrest.
Ryan and Kelly have been working together for six seasons. Throughout the show, they became close friends. Naturally, the emotions were high as Ryan and his co-host and dear friend expressed their love and admiration for him. The 48-year-old media personality will return as an occasional host.

Ryan Seacrest Departs ‘Live With Kelly And Ryan’ Due to Issues With Commute
Ryan Seacrest got his start in the world of hosting in 1993 with ‘ESPN’s Radical Outdoor Challenge.’ In 2017, he became Kelly Ripa’s co-host on ‘Live With Kelly And Ryan.’ By the end of 2017, the show was averaging over 3 million viewers.
On February 16, 2023, the 48-year-old host announced that the current season would be his last season on the show. He is leaving the show on account of difficulties with the commute. Seacrest, who resides in Los Angeles, has to make frequent trips to New York to tape the show.
While making the announcement, Ryan Seacrest was beset with emotions. In his farewell speech, he thanked Kelly, their team, and the fans for their forever support. ‘Live With Kelly and Ryan‘ is currently the No. 1 daytime talk show regarding viewership and household ratings.

Mark Consuelo Replaces Ryan Seacrest For ‘Live With Kelly And Mark’
Ryan Seacrest was all praise for Kelly, saying, “Working alongside Kelly over the past six years has been a dream job and one of the highlights of my career. She has been an amazing partner, friend, and confidant, and although we will always be a part of each other’s lives, I will miss our mornings together.”
Kelly Ripa quickly returned the love, saying, “I’m so grateful to have spent the last six years beside my dear friend of too many decades to count and will miss starting my days with Ryan.” She will now host ‘Live With Kelly And Mark‘ with her husband, Mark Consuelos. Ryan Seacrest will still return in the capacity of the guest host. He will also resume hosting ABC network’s ‘American Idol’ for its upcoming season.
