The ‘Euphoria‘ star, speaking during a Fandango’s Big Ticket interview to promote their upcoming film ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘, didn’t just praise his performance on the screen; she highlighted the extraordinary grace he demonstrates off it.
Tom Holland’s Deep Connection with Young Fans Earns Zendaya’s Admiration
During the interview, Zendaya said, “My favourite thing about Tom’s Spider-Man is how Tom handles Spider-Man outside of Spider-Man.” She elaborated that her admiration stems from seeing how he manages the immense weight of being a symbol for millions. As a hero beloved particularly by young audiences, Holland has never shied away from the responsibility that comes with the mask.

“So many people connect to this character—to Peter Parker, to Spider-Man. Especially young people, especially children,” she explained. “He’s just handled that weight with such grace and really loves and cares so much about the character and what the character means to other people. He realizes that when you are in front of these kids, you are Spider-Man. You are this person to them”.
The actress noted that she admires how Holland carries the essence of the character through his daily life. “I just love seeing what and how you carry Spider-Man through your life in real life,” she told him directly, a sentiment that highlights the deep respect and intimacy in their relationship.
The Holland-Zendaya Love Story
Zendaya’s comments come at a busy time for the couple. They first met on the set of ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ in 2016 and confirmed their relationship in 2021. They got engaged in late 2024, and just recently, Holland confirmed in an interview with Esquire that they had already quietly gotten married.
