Johnny Depp won the defamation trial, but Heard’s career was damaged after that. She was almost fired from ‘Aquaman’. A new report exposes the continuous harassment she faced on the sets of the film. It included her co-star, Jason Momoa, getting drunk and cosplaying as Johnny Depp.
Jason Momoa Wanted Amber Heard Fired From ‘Aquaman’ Franchise
A new Variety report has revealed some behind-the-scenes chaos of the upcoming ‘Aquaman 2’ film starring Jason Momoa and Amber Heard. Momoa will be reviving his Arthur Curry character, while Amber Heard will be seen as Mera in the upcoming sequel to the 2018 film. The therapist notes that Amber Heard that Johnny Depp’s lawyers used during the 2022 defamation trial became public.
Dr. Dawn Hughes, Amber Heard’s therapist, notes how Jason Momoa and the director, James Wan, wanted to sabotage Amber Heard’s chances to star in the sequel to the film. Hughes’ notes had scribbles about how Momoa was drunk one day and appeared like Johnny Depp. The notes read, “Jason said he wanted me fired. Jason drunk-late on set. Dressing like Johnny. Has all the rings too.”
A spokesperson for DC said, “Jason Momoa conducted himself in a professional manner at all times on the set of ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.” An insider testified for the sober behavior of Jason on the sets of ‘Aquaman 2’. The insider said, “Jason works his a** off, likes to have a beer once in a while like everyone, but doesn’t show up drunk to set.”

The Film’s Director Allegedly Harassed The Actress
After the massive success of ‘Aquaman’ in 2018, James Wan decided to drop Amber Heard from the sequel, sending a letter to her attorney. The letter was sent before Johnny Depp filed a lawsuit against the actress in 2019. In the therapist’s notes, James Wan allegedly misbehaved with Amber Heard on the sets of ‘Aquaman 2’.
About James Wan’s behavior towards Amber Heard, the notes read, “He raised his voice @ me — ‘I can’t even post about Aquaman’ — made it like it was my fault – I said ‘I’m sorry.'” The notes also revealed that James did not allow anyone to take selfies with her.
A spokesperson for DC denied these claims, stating, “James is known for treating members of his cast and crew with the utmost respect and for fostering a positive, collaborative environment on set — the ‘Aquaman’ films were no exception.”
