Barack Obama is someone who is an avid watcher of films and television shows from across the board. After his Presidential run ended in 2016, Obama also forayed into film and tv production and owns a production company called Higher Ground Productions with his wife Michelle Obama.
Just like every year, this year also the former US President unveiled lists of his favorite films, books, and music of 2022. Some of them include music from Beyonce and Tom Cruise’s ‘Top Gun Maverick.’ Let’s find out in detail about his list.

Barack Obama Unveils His Favorite 2022 List
At the end of every year, former President Obama shares some of his favorite films, books, music, etc. This year also, he has done the same via Twitter.
“I always look forward to sharing my lists of favorite books, movies, and music with all of you,” he wrote on Twitter. Obama then shared his picks in three separate posts and asked his followers to share their favorites as well.
He cited ‘The Fabelmans’, ‘The Woman King’, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, ‘Tár’ and ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ etc as his favorite films of the year 2022. He also included the documentary ‘Descendant’. “I’m biased – Higher Ground produced,” he wrote referring to their production house.

Obama’s Favorite Music And Books
Apart from movies, the politician-author also shared his favorite music and books. He mentioned Beyoncé’s Break My Soul, Lizzo’s About Damn Time, Kendrick Lamar’s The Heart Part 5, and Bad Bunny’s Tití Me Preguntó.

When it came to books, Barack picked his wife Michelle’s memoir The Light We Carry, stating, “I’m a little biased on this one.”
He also picked Imani Perry’s South to America: A Journey Below the Mason-Dixon to Understand the Soul of a Nation and Jennifer Egan’s The Candy House.
