Brooklyn Decker celebrated 17 years of marriage with former tennis star Andy Roddick on April 17, marking the occasion with a playful Instagram post that blended humor with a themed throwback.
The 39-year-old model and actress shared a photo of the couple dressed in colonial-era costumes, posing side by side in a kitchen with deliberately serious expressions. Roddick appeared in a gold military-style uniform paired with a white historical wig, while Decker wore a navy blue dress complete with a suffragette sash that read “Votes for Women.”
“17 years today but feels like it’s been this long,” Decker wrote alongside the image, jokingly suggesting it feels like far more time has passed since the couple tied the knot in Texas in 2009.
She later clarified in the comments that the outfits were from a “green card party,” where they dressed up as Alexander Hamilton and women’s rights activist Susan B. Anthony.
The lighthearted post drew reactions from friends and fellow athletes, including model Julia Stegner, who wrote “Happy Anniversary ❤️,” while former tennis player Kim Clijsters chimed in with laughing emojis.

Andy Roddick Reflects On Rivalry With Roger Federer

Separately, Andy Roddick has spoken about Roger Federer’s playing style and his experiences facing him during his career. “Not a lot gets overlooked,” said Roddick.
He described Federer’s widely praised skill set and how fans and players often focus on different aspects of his game. “Like when you’re like, ‘What does Fed do well?’ It’s like the slice and the poetry, and everyone knows the forehand, and it flows.”
The American also explained the difficulty of competing against the Swiss legend and other top players, noting that neutral rallies often left him at a disadvantage compared to most opponents.
He also noted he won only three of their 24 meetings, with many losses in Grand Slam finals and semi finals during his career. Reflecting further, Roddick said Federer’s ability to combine attacking and defensive strengths set him apart during his peak years, influencing how modern players approached the game.
He added that against Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray, he often had to take more risks rather than rely on neutral exchanges.
