DC Spend More Money On Henry Cavill’s Mustache Than Dwayne Johnson’s Salary
Johnson is one of the most commercially successful actors in Hollywood. He charges a hefty sum of money for his films. However, even his salary wasn’t close to what DC had to spend on Cavill’s mustache once.
Cavill plays the role of Superman in the DC Universe and his look is very important. According to Fandomwire, DC once spent $24 million just to remove Cavill’s mustache through visual effects.
The amount is more than what Johnson received as a salary for ‘Black Adam‘, which is $22.5 million. This happened because director Zack Snyder had to stop filming because of his daughter Autumn’s suicide. By the time Joss Whedon stepped in, Cavill had grown a beard and a mustache for ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout‘. So the studio had to rely on CGI to maintain Cavill’s mustache-less look.

Johnson And Cavill Won’t Be Returning As Superheroes
After James Gunn was installed as the DC studio’s co-chairman, the studio made several sweeping changes. This includes canceling Cavill’s return as Superman and replacing him with a younger actor.
A sequel to ‘Wonder Woman‘ and ‘Black Adam‘ was also scrapped. Johnson, who was also the producer of the film, had plans for a franchise in which both the character would confront each other.
He took to social media to announce the news. “James Gunn and I connected, and Black Adam will not be in their first chapter of storytelling”, he said. “However, DC and Seven Bucks have agreed to continue exploring the most valuable ways Black Adam can be utilized in future DC multiverse chapters.”
