Post Malone says his ongoing NFL rivalry with comedian Shane Gillis is best handled casually, often over drinks, as the two continue their long-running campaign with Bud Light.
Speaking during a behind-the-scenes Q&A tied to the latest campaign, Malone named Gillis as his go-to drinking partner. Their chemistry, fueled by playful clashes over football loyalties, has become a defining part of their collaborations, with Malone backing the Dallas Cowboys and Gillis supporting the Philadelphia Eagles.
The 30-year-old said, “I’d have a beer with Shane, just like I did yesterday and the day before that. If I have to tell you every time that Eagles fan calls me up every Sunday and says, ‘Eagles rock, Cowboys suck,’ we can settle it over a cold Bud Light. Just talk it out.”

Their back-and-forth has featured prominently in multiple advertisements, including commercials aired during the Super Bowl in 2025 and 2026. The partnership is part of Malone’s broader collaboration with Bud Light, which has spanned nearly a decade.

As part of his latest campaign with Bud Light, Post Malone is introducing Bud Light x Posty Co. Minis, a limited-edition, smaller can format. The new product will make its debut at the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, where Malone is set to headline on April 26.
Ahead of the event, a themed pop-up experience titled “The Smallest Bar in the West” has opened near the festival grounds, offering fans an early taste of the campaign. The mini packs are scheduled to roll out at participating retailers beginning May 4.
Post Malone Reflects On Personal Moments Tied To Bud Light

Beyond the campaign, Post Malone also spoke about personal milestones associated with the brand, including songwriter Louis Bell’s wedding on October 25, 2025. Bell has collaborated extensively with Malone, contributing to albums including Twelve Carat Toothache, Austin, and F-1 Trillion.
Malone said, “They brought in some Bud Lights for me, but everybody imbibed. I don’t know, there’s just so many moments of joy and moments of laughter and time shared with good friends and good buddies throughout my life, over a cold beer. And I couldn’t think of a better beer to consume during those very sweet and tender moments.”

Malone also explained the idea behind the smaller cans, citing practicality. “I’m always looking for the coldest beer. And the best way to keep a beer cold is obviously putting it into a cooler.”
He added, “But once you take it out, it gets warm quite quick. So maybe a smaller format. You just drink more of the smaller format. So that sorta inspired the whole bit, I supposed.”
