The feud between Rebel Wilson and the three producers of her musical ‘The Deb’ is heating up and is getting out of hand. Rebel previously accused Sacha Baron Cohen of sexually harassing her and now the producers are claiming it to be false.
The producers have accused her of defaming them only because she is angry over the movie’s credits, hence Rebel started making things on her own which is leading to her downfall.
‘The Deb’ Producers Accuse Rebel Wilson Of Making False Harassments Allegations
On Monday evening, the three producers behind the musical ‘The Deb’ filed a complaint in the Superior Court against the actress who accused them of “inappropriate behavior towards the lead actress of the film [and] embezzling funds from the film’s budget.” Rebel Wilson made these claims in a video posted on her social media, which is still there on her social media.
The amendment also added that she made false claims and accusations. The producers further claimed that her scorched-earth post is a familiar move from her playbook. The amended adds, “In her autobiography, Rebel included false allegations about well-known actor Sacha Baron Cohen’s alleged inappropriate behavior. “Due to these false allegations, portions of her autobiography were redacted when published in the United Kingdom and Australia”.
“Because Rebel shirked her professional obligations to the Plaintiffs, the Film, and everyone dedicated to its success, she started flailing and inventing problems to obfuscate her failures,” it further continues. Moreover, the suit also claims defamation on Sacha Baron Cohen who she accused of sexually harassing her during their 2016 R-rated movie shooting ‘The Brothers Grimsby’.

The battle between attorneys Camille Vasquez, Samuel Moniz, and Honieh Udenka VS Wilson is bubbling only because she didn’t get the screenplay credit she wanted but was only awarded “additional writing by” as the credits by the Australian Writers Guild.
The complaint made by the producers also adds that she “has a history of fabricating false and malicious lies to hide her own lack of professionalism and advance her own self-interest.”
It continues: “This lawsuit is about holding Rebel accountable for her attempts to bully Plaintiffs into conceding to her unreasonable demands by spreading vicious lies without regard for the irreparable damage her reckless words would cause on the hard-earned personal and professional reputations of Plaintiffs.”
Earlier in June a letter was sent to Wilson through the producers that catalogued the allegations of financial impropriety and sexual harassments. And the actress represented by attorney Bryan Freedman, didn’t respond immediately.
