‘Supernatural’ on The CW ended its adventure in the fall of 2020 after a magnificent 15-year run with sad farewells. But there were still a few more tales to be told on the longest-running fantasy program ever, particularly about what transpired before Sam’s (Jared Padalecki) and Dean’s (Jensen Ackles) father left on a hunting expedition, what are the origins of the Winchesters and how did the entire storyline of ‘Supernatural’ come to be.
‘The Winchesters’, a loving homage to the fans who can’t get enough of the notoriously famous family of hunters, will put all these questions to rest in the upcoming ‘Supernatural’ prequel thanks to Jensen and Danneel Ackles.

What Is the Plot Of ‘The Winchesters’?
‘The Winchesters’ explore the relationship between Sam and Dean’s parents, John Winchester and Mary Campbell, and how these two very different people come together to shape their children’s lives. The 1972 setting of the trailer shows a young John (Drake Rodger), who is unsure of his life’s purpose and the mystery surrounding his father’s disappearance, returning from the Vietnam War. As he humorously tries to “assist” Mary Campbell, played by Meg Donnelly, in a battle with a demon, his unexpected encounter with Mary Campbell alters his vision of the known world.
After a close friend passed away, Mary had to reevaluate her profession as a hunter. She has her own problems to contend with. She is compelled to return to her position, nevertheless, when her own father vanishes. The “missing dad” phenomenon, which also pushed Sam and Dean to cooperate at the start of Supernatural, pulls the two heroes together. One could object to this storyline’s discrepancy with the ‘Supernatural’ canon, though, given that Mary didn’t like John at first until they were both struck by a cupid’s arrow (quite literally), and John didn’t know anything about hunting until Mary died at the start of ‘Supernatural.’
