After the recent hustle and bustle about Cartoon Network shutting down, many millennials were nostalgic and approached the media platform for revisiting their old shows. Twitter was flooded with ‘RIP Cartoon Network’. However, CN replied quashing the rumors and put smiles back on everyone’s lips.
“Y’all we’re not dead, we’re just turning 30. To our fans: We’re not going anywhere. We have been and will always be your home for beloved, innovative cartoons. More to come soon,” they wrote. Well, in celebration of the resurrection of our favorite channel that made our childhoods and even our life now interesting, let us look at the top 25 Cartoon Network shows that you should definitely visit again.

Adventure Time
‘Adventure Time‘ is obviously unbeatable and legit my personal favorite. The show is nine seasons long and premiered in 2010. The show follows Finn, a 12-year-old boy, and his dog jake who can talk by the way. They usually do all sorts of mischievous activities together and fight the evil on the way. The show has won eight Primetime Emmy awards.
The Powerpuff Girls
This show is possibly the brightest and most feel-good boss bitch show ever. The show follows three superhero forces. The sisters are Blossom (the pink one), Bubbles (the blue one), and Buttercup (the green one). Besides going to school and living a normal life the superhero sisters also save the world.
Samurai Jack
This is a beautifully animated cartoon series with a cottage-core aesthetic. The series aired from 2001-2007. it follows a samurai prince, Jack who goes back in time to fight for his kingdom from AKu( a shapeshifting demon). The cartoon became one of the first animated projects to utilize lineless characters.
Courage the Cowardly Dog
We all loved this cartoon in our childhood especially taking out time from our busy(not really) schedule to watch the show as it aired. The show premiered from 1999 to 2002. It followed a pink dog named courage who lived with its owners Muriel and Eustace. Courage protected the family from demons and monsters.
Steven Universe
This show gained a rapid fanbase and became one of the most successful Cartoon Network shows of all time. It premiered in 2013 and ended in 2019. The series follows Steven, a teen-ish boy who is half-human and half-Crystal Gem. Crystal gems were a group of magical harnessing creatures. This was actually the first animated show created by a woman.
Teen Titans
This cartoon premiered in 2003 and attracted a lot of pre-teens. The show is based on a DC character group featuring Beast Boy, Robin, Cyborg, etc. The show follows a group of young heroes who save the city from evil. The series later was transformed into ‘Teen Titans Go!’ which premiered in 2013.
Dexter’s Laboratory
This iconic show follows the main character Dexter who is a child prodigy. He uses his laboratory to create his genius inventions however those are destroyed by his sister Dee-Dee. The show is basically a Phenius and Ferb version of Cartoon Network with a ditzy sister and parents who have no idea.
Ben 10
Now, this doesn’t really need a description. I bet you can still sing the whole title song if you used to watch this as a kid. This show was based on a 10-year-old boy, Ben who discovers an Omnitrix which is far more than a normal watch. The watch allows him to take any alien form which he uses to fight other aliens. Don’t forget his sister ‘Gwen’ and his grandpa are involved in this superhero fight too.

Regular Show
This one is a nice contrast to ‘Ben 10’ for this was just a series about two regular guys hanging out. However they are not humans, one is a raccoon and one is a blue jay. The series is full of witty humor and amazing plot lines. The show aired from 2009 – 2017 and has also won a primetime Emmy award.
Ed, Edd n Eddy
This show is about three boys Ed, Edd, and Eddy who are basically trying all sorts of things to be rich. These tricks involve hypnosis scams and even magic-marker tattoos. However, as predicted they never succeeded and set out to try another method the next day. The series is created by Danny Antonucci and premiered in 1999.
Justice League
This Tv show follows the Justice League of the DC universe starring the main superheroes like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Hawkgirl, and Martian Manhunter. This was the most popular series on Cartoon Network and also appeared on the list of the greatest animated television series of all time.
Craig of the Creek
The Tv show premiered in 2018 and follows a boy, Craig, and his fellow companions. Unlike most of the Cartoon Network shows, this one doesn’t have superpowers or alien invasions. The series is based on the power of imagination and the desire to explore the world.
Codename: Kids Next Door
‘Codename: Kids Next Door’ ran successfully from 2002-2008. With great animation and powerful plotlines, the series was a childhood favorite. The animation follows a group of 5 10-year-old kids who fight criminals.
Infinity Train
The show is a relatively new one having been launched in 2019. The series is mainly based on a magical train that never stops. The train is quite dangerous for the passengers and only appears in the time of their crisis. This show slightly edged toward the bigger problems in life and was not exactly for kids. It tackled problems like family, identity, and personal responsibility.
The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack
The 2000’s famous show ‘The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack’ follows an aspiring sailor named Flapjack and his mentor named Captain knuckles. It is based on the adventures they have when they set ahead in search if Candied Island. The series has won a Primetime Emmy award.
Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated
We cannot talk about cartoons and not mention the iconic Scooby-Doo. The show ‘Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated‘ was an update to the old all-time favorite show which premiered in 2010. The show brought darker missions for the team with the classic humor that it always had.
Chowder
This was a goofy silly feel-good comedy show of the 2000s. The series was set in Marzipan City and followed a stupid and goofy chef and the mischief that she caused because of his undying hunger. Apart from being filled with humor, the show had a character growth element that was appreciated by the audience. This is definitely a good show on Cartoon Network to watch again even if you are a grown-up now.
The Grim Adventure Of Billy And Mandy
What better show to rewatch in the spooky season? ‘The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy‘ is a six-season-long comedy with just the right amount of horror elements. It follows two kids who somehow manages to befriend a grim reaper for the rest of their life. We follow their adventures together which usually end in a wholesome way.
The Amazing World of Gumball
‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ is a comedy series created by Ben Bocquelet for Cartoon Network. The series follows a 12-year-old boy named Gumball Watterson, his blue cat, and his adoptive goldfish brother Darwin. The series is filled with pop culture r4eferences and a bit of mature humor. It is the perfect series to watch for any age group on a chill weekend.
Cow & Chicken
As the name suggests, the series follows a cow and a chicken who are actually siblings. However, The duo has an enemy to deal with, it is “the Red Guy,” a version of the devil. The show ran from 1997 – 1999.
Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends
The series takes into the picture a foster home for kids. It mainly follows Mac, an 8-year-old boy who loves to hang out with his imaginary friend, Bloo. The show captures the adventures they embark upon with their other imaginary friends. The show is known for having the best opening credit sequence ever.
Sym-bionic Titan
However, the show didn’t run for a long time and was canceled after only one season, the kids certainly loved it. If haven’t heard of it you should go and watch this 20-episode show right now. The show follows two aliens and a genius robot and their journey on Earth. This show is a balanced mix of high school drama and really intense fighting.
The Looney Tunes Show
This series premiered in 2011. The series takesBugs Bunny and Daffy Duck in an alternate surrounding, one in which they live in an urban area. Also, this time the series is self-contained and doesn’t follow a storyline.
Total Drama Island
‘Total Drama Island‘ became an instant hit as soon as it was released. The series premiered in 2007 in Canada but came to Cartoon network in 2008. This was a spoof of the reality Tv shows that were airing at that time.
Johnny Bravo
This Tv show follows Jhonny Bravo an egoistic, self-centered guy with girl problems. He is defiantly a major creep but somehow attracts a lot of girls. The series is a mocking satire that makes fun of Jhonny’s behavior also with some funny elements embedded all along.
