    10 Best Superhero Sidekicks of All Time

    There are several superheroes that have sidekicks who are just as heroic and significant as the main hero in the story. These sidekicks make the experience of being a superhero even more entertaining and enjoyable, and they always offer their companion’s support and solidarity.

    These characters have proven their mettle time and again. Some of them even went on to become heroes of their own stories. This is a list of the top 10 best sidekicks that any superhero has ever had.

    10. Krypto

    Krypto is without a doubt the favorite Superman sidekick of all time. In 1955, he made his debut in Adventure Comics #210 as a one-off character. In response to viewer demand for more Krypto, the creators created a new history for him to serve as Superman’s devoted sidekick.

    Prior to Kal-parents sending newborn Superman to Earth in a prototype shuttle, Krypto was Superman’s pet dog on Krypton, and he arrived on Earth in the same vehicle.

    It is safe to say that Batgirl is still one of the favorite comic book characters. In January 1967, she made her debut in Detective Comics #359 as a new character. Her strong will and heart may be considered her superpower, despite the fact that she lacks any specific superpowers.

    She was Batgirl for a long time after that she became the Oracle. She’s actually Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Commissioner Gordon. The Joker shot her in the back in an attempt to make her father crazy but failed to do so.

    In comics, Bucky Barnes was a non-entity, only mentioned in passing and in jokes about Captain America’s intrepid sidekick; he was presumed dead for almost 70 years.

    As a result of his abduction, Barnes was brainwashed and made to serve as the Winter Soldier, entrusted with eliminating several high-value targets. Steve was there for him when everyone else had given up on him, and he never gave up on his friend.

    Finally, Bucky liberated himself from the Russians’ mind control and rejoined his old buddy, and reclaim his place as Captain America’s most devoted sidekick.

    Kid Flash, a.k.a. Wally West, is the only figure on this list who has exceeded their former instructors in any way. In December 1959, he made his debut in The Flash #110 and was immediately regarded as one of DC Comics’ greatest speedsters.

    Wally was mentored by Barry Allen, the original Flash, and for years by Kid Flash, who was his sidekick. When Kid Flash was ready, Barry gave him the Flash mantle, and West continued in the footsteps of his mentor.

    One of Iron Man’s most trusted allies has been James Rhodes (aka War Machine), and the two of them have formed a strong friendship over the years. Rhodie first appeared in January 1979’s Iron Man #118 and he has remained Tony Stark’s faithful sidekick ever since, despite their many arguments and squabbles.

    Despite being Iron Man’s sidekick, War Machine is nearly as powerful as the main hero. This makes him a standout character more than any normal Superhero Sidekicks. Their suits are based on the same technology, can do many of the same tasks, and frequently engage in combat together.

    In the comics, the Falcon was Captain America’s sidekick before becoming the hero himself, just as he does in the MCU. Previously, he served in the military before obtaining the incredible flying suit that allows the Falcon to soar across the sky.

    Falcon has his own sidekick, Redwing. It was a genuine falcon in comics unlike a drone in MCU and belonged to him. Falcon in comic could also speak with birds telepathically.

    Wong is adored by fans because he is powerful, yet his ego is so non-existent that he has no problem cleaning up the Sanctum, carrying the luggage, and so on.

    At first, Olsen was not identified as a member of the staff of The Daily Planet since he was a freelance photographer and journalist. In 1940, he featured in a radio show called The Adventures of Superman, and in November 1941, he appeared in Superman #13. Jimmy was dubbed “Superman’s Pal” by the public.

    Jimmy went wherever Lois Lane and Clark Kent did.  With no extraordinary capabilities of his own, Olsen does have certain unorthodox abilities that were beneficial at times.

    Harley Quinn is technically not a superhero sidekick, but she is a sidekick nevertheless and an amazing character, so she had to make the list. Plus, she did assist Batman on several occasions, and the two even shared a passionate kiss once.

    It’s also worth noting that Harley Quinn had her canonical debut in Batman: Harley Quinn #1 in October 1999, following her appearance in The Batman Adventures #12 in September 1993. After falling in love with the Joker and becoming his squeeze and sidekick, she assisted him in escaping the Arkham Asylum.

    It’s a toss-up between Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, and Damian Wayne. But It doesn’t matter who plays Robin in comic books or in real life; he is the archetypal comic book sidekick.

    Since his creation in 1940 by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, Robin has become an iconic hero and a role that has been shared by an elite group of comic book heroes. They have a mentor-apprentice connection, yet Robin has saved Batman just as often as a hero-sidekick relationship would have done the other way around.
