How Did Elon Musk And Justine Wilson Meet?
The world’s richest man was first married to Justine Wilson. They met in Canada at Queen’s University, Ontario at the time when Justine was in her first year of college. Wilson initially declined Musk’s offer to go on a date.
He kept pursuing her several times, and the aspiring writer eventually agreed to go on a date with him. They fell in love and started an on-and-off relationship.
They tied the knot in 2000 and in 2002, Wilson gave birth to their first child who passed away due to sudden infant death syndrome just 10 weeks after birth. This tragic death shook both Musk and Wilson.
The couple then opted for In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and had twins in 2004 and triplets in 2006. In 2008, they filed for divorce and shared their children’s custody.

Why Did They Divorce?
Wilson is an accomplished writer and has published several books, including the 2005 fantasy BloodAngel and the 2007’s Uninvited. In 2008, she released the sequel to BloodAngel, titled Lord of Bones. Apart from novels, Wilson has also written several short stories.
Justine claimed she felt like “an employee” in her marriage and said that Musk treated her like a “trophy wife“. They tried going for marriage counseling but the SpaceX founder gave her an ultimatum of “fixing the marriage today or tomorrow I divorce you.”
In 2022, Vivian Jenna Wilson, their daughter, changed her name and adopted her mother’s maiden name. They now identify themselves as a transgender and used to go by the name Xavier Alexander Musk.
