Chris Hemsworth’s Thor may have been through plenty of emotional turmoil in the MCU, but it sounds like the God of Thunder will still have enough authority to command a room in ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘.

David Harbour has teased a scene featuring a huge gathering of characters, and his description makes it sound like one of those classic Avengers moments fans have been waiting for.

Thor Apparently Has A Lot To Say

Harbour, who returns as Red Guardian after appearing alongside Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova in Black Widow and Thunderbolts, admitted he probably shouldn’t be revealing much. Still, he offered a surprisingly entertaining glimpse at what happened during filming.

Harbour recalled filming a major ensemble sequence with Pugh when Hemsworth walked in and immediately changed the energy of the room. “There’s a big scene in the movie where lots of different characters get together and discuss problems.”

He explained that he and Pugh were standing together when Hemsworth entered and started giving their characters a serious talking-to. “And Chris Hemsworth came in with his big, large arms and started telling us that we were messing everything up,” Harbour said.

According to Harbour, Thor’s message was essentially that everyone needed to stop arguing and start dealing with the problem in front of them. For Harbour and Pugh, however, the moment was bigger than just another day on set.

Harbour said he and Pugh looked at each other and immediately realized what they were witnessing. “Oh my God, this is the point in the movie when Thor comes in and yells at all the Avengers, and that’s awesome!”

That reaction says a lot about the scale of ‘Doomsday’. Even actors who are already established parts of the MCU can apparently still have those surreal moments when they realize they’re standing inside a massive Avengers scene. Harbour also suggested that this wasn’t an isolated experience during production. The comments also fit with what has been teased about Thor’s role in ‘Doomsday’.

The character is expected to return as a more battle-hardened warrior who has endured enormous loss, potentially putting him in a position of experience among a chaotic group of heroes. And if Harbour’s story is any indication, Thor may not simply show up to fight. He may be the guy trying to get everyone else to get their act together.
