‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ has finally arrived on the big screen after a long wait. The reaction towards the film has been mostly positive with many calling it a perfect farewell for the entire team.
The film was in the headlines for going through delays alongside the firing and rehiring of James Gunn as the director. While ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ has been released on May 5, 2023, the post-credits scenes have been under discussion.
‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’ Mid-Credits Scene Explained
The mid-credits scene of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ features Rocket and Groot in a desert with the new members of the team which includes Kraglin, Cosmo the Spacedog, Adam Warlock, and Phyla-Vell. The entire team is waiting while a group of aliens enters the desert.
Rocket then plays Redbone’s ‘Come and Get Your Love’ which is a way to end the trilogy and it is the same song that was played in the first film. Phylla-Vell has been trending online because she is the offspring of Mar-Vell, a Kree warrior alongside a scientist called Elysius.
Meanwhile, the future of Phylla-Vell is still in question. But she will appear in ‘The Marvels’, which is a sequel to ‘Captain Marvel.’

‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’ Post-Credits Scene Meaning
Talking about the post-credits scene of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’, there is an Easter egg that can be easily spotted by the fans. Quill is spotted with his grandfather and while they are speaking to each other, the headline of the newspaper in Quill’s grandfather’s hand states: “Alien Abduction: Kevin Bacon Tells All.”
It is also a fun nod to ‘The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special’ where Kevin Bacon is abducted by Mantis and Drax. The screen then reads – “Star-Lord Will Return.” However, it remains unknown how and when Quill will appear next.
