Henry Cavill Is Confirmed In A Marvel Role Amid Reports Of Him Joining MCU As Doctor Doom

For a while, Henry Cavill‘s future in Hollywood almost hit a dead end. It all started with Cavill being fired from DCU as James Gunn was looking for a younger Superman, and then ‘The Witcher’ replaced his character. With two of the major projects in his hand, the fans grew worried about Cavill’s future in the industry.

With Warner Bros. treating the British actor poorly, Henry Cavill seemed to jump the gun and join hands with the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a secret role after debunking the rumors of him joining the ‘Fantastic Four.’

Henry Cavill Will Not Be Part Of Marvel’s Fantastic Four

Ever since the cast of ‘The Fantastic Four’ was revealed, fans have been looking forward to knowing which actor will helm Doctor Doom, as the character is one of the antagonists of The Fantastic Four.

While fans have been throwing names of Cillian Murphy and Mads Mikkelsen, one of the accounts on X confirmed that Henry Cavill is the top contender for the role of Doctor Doom. However, the industry insider, Daniel Richtman debunked the rumors saying that the casting news was fake. 

However, this news spread like wildfire, with the fans excited to see Henry Cavill being a part of the MCU. The franchise still has to reveal who will helm the role of Doctor Doom in the upcoming film about Marvel’s first family.

Henry Cavill Expressed His Intrest In Joining The Marvel Cinematic Universe

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the British actor revealed that he was considering taking an MCU role. While talking about a fan-made poster of him as Captain Britain, Henry Cavill said that playing the role would be loads of fun. Cavill envisioned a modern version of the character similar to Captain America. 

Henry Cavill said, “I have the internet and I have seen the various rumors about Captain Britain and that would be loads of fun to do a cool, modernized version of that — like the way they modernized Captain America. There’s something fun about that, and I do love being British.” One of the scoopers on X also dropped a cryptic message about Cavill joining the MCU in an unknown role.

Although the franchise is yet to officially confirm the news of Henry Cavill joining MCU. But the fans are hoping that his time in the franchise is now closer than ever with multiple upcoming Marvel projects with the opening of exciting potential roles.
