It is believed that Adam Driver could be the next A-list talent to join Kevin Feige’s MCU for phase 6. ‘The Marriage Story’ star is in final talks to play Reed Richards for the ‘Fantastic Four’ reboot movie directed by Matt Shakman.
Recently seen in ‘White Noise’ and ’65,’ Driver’s resume is padded, be it indies like ‘Frances Ha’ or tentpole franchises like ‘Star Wars.’ Marvel and Disney are still tight-lipped and have provided no official details. Nevertheless, the prospect of Adam Driver has the Marvel faithful already screaming with joy! Fingers crossed.

Of all the names that can play, Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Adam Driver seems to be the new leading contender. Marvel is looking at Adam Driver for their Phase 6 movie ‘Fantastic Four.’ DC is already abuzz with the prospect, but this piece of information’s authenticity remains unvetted.
The idea of casting Adam Driver has been floating in DC’s mind for some time. However, according to an industry insider Daniel Richtman, the role is now for Driver’s taking as he’s currently in final negotiations with the studio. If the final negotiations turn out to be successful, the official announcement won’t be far away.

Actors Previously Considered For Reed Richards Character
Marvel has looked far and beyond for their Reed Richards. The who’s who of Hollywood was looked at for the part of the brilliant scientist turned superhero. Many exciting casting choices made the news once in a while. Most fans wanted John Krasinski to reprise Reed Richards from the ‘Doctor Strange’ sequel, but it never materialized.
For the longest time, we were convinced about ‘You’ star Penn Badgley taking on the role of the stretchy superhero. He tiptoed with his response when asked about taking on the iconic comic book hero on the ‘Happy Sad Confused‘ podcast. Dev Patel, Ryan Gosling, and Diego Luna were also considered to be in the running for the MCU role. ‘Fantastic Four‘ currently has a release date of 14 February 2025.
